A woman was killed and two men were injured in a two-vehicle collision just outside Ventura on Monday morning, October 6, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded shortly before 6:00 a.m. near the 11400 block of Foothill Road.
The crash involved a northbound Dodge Caravan minivan carrying a male driver and a male passenger, and a Nissan Rogue SUV driven by a woman. The Dodge slowed for a U-turn into the eastbound lane, and the SUV failed to slow down, striking the minivan and ending up in a ditch.
The woman driving the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. The two men in the Dodge were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. CHP Ventura-area officials reported that drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
