A man sustained injuries after being rear-ended by a DUI driver in Franklin, Merced County, on Monday night, October 7, 2024.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene just after 7:00 p.m. near Ashby Road south of Beachwood Drive.
Investigators identified the suspect as 31-year-old Andres L. of Atwater, who was traveling southbound on Ashby Road when he collided with the vehicle in front of him for reasons yet to be determined.
The CHP is reminding all drivers to think twice before getting behind the wheel to ensure road safety. The investigation is ongoing.
