A suspected DUI collision claimed one life in Sacramento on early Monday morning, October 7, 2024.
According to the Sacramento Police Department, the incident occurred around 12:45 a.m. at the intersection of Franklin Boulevard and Sunmeadow Drive, involving a sedan and an SUV.
The sedan’s driver suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
The SUV driver was transported to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and displayed “objective signs of intoxication,” according to authorities.
