A head-on crash involving three vehicles occurred on Highway 4 in San Joaquin County on Tuesday afternoon, October 15, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place around 4:15 p.m. near Bacon Island Road in Holt.
A westbound pickup truck lost control, sideswiped a Honda car, and subsequently collided head-on with a Toyota car.
The driver of the Honda suffered major injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Authorities reported that the westbound lane of Highway 4 has been reopened for one-way traffic as they continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
