Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that left at least one person trapped inside a vehicle on Panama Road at Cottonwood Road in Bakersfield on Tuesday night, October 21, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 9:00 p.m. and involved a Toyota, a Lexus sedan, and a Nissan SUV. Footage from the scene showed major damage to at least two of the vehicles involved.
Kern County Sheriff’s deputies and Kern County Fire Department personnel responded and assisted at the scene. At least one person was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, though their condition remains unknown.
Roads in the area were temporarily closed but have since reopened. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
