A 12-year-old boy was critically injured in a hit-and-run collision on Ballantyne Street near East Park Avenue in El Cajon on Wednesday night, October 22, 2025.
According to the El Cajon Police Department, officers responded around 8 p.m. after reports of a juvenile pedestrian found in the roadway in the 300 block of Ballantyne Street.
Police said the boy suffered major head trauma and was transported to a hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Witnesses described the suspect’s vehicle as a white or silver SUV with front-end damage.
