One man was killed, and two others sustained injuries in a rollover crash in Del Mar, San Diego County, on Friday night, October 23, 2026.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, North Coastal Station deputies responded at around 9:40 p.m. to the 2900 block of Camino Del Mar.
A preliminary investigation indicated that a woman was driving a 2008 BMW 328i southbound with two male passengers. Deputies said she allegedly passed another vehicle on the right before losing control.
The BMW overturned and came to rest in the front yard of a residence.
One male passenger died at the scene. The driver was hospitalized with serious injuries, while the other male passenger was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities said drugs or alcohol were believed to have contributed to the collision.
The Sheriff’s Office’s North Coastal Traffic Division continues to investigate the crash.
