A motorcyclist was airlifted following a crash involving a pickup truck in Apple Valley, San Bernardino County, on Thursday morning, October 24, 2024.
The incident occurred around 8:46 a.m. on Apple Valley Road and Catalina Road and involved a blue and white Ducati motorcycle and a gold Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.
Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to a helicopter landing pad at St. Mary’s Medical Center, where they were airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center. An update on the motorcyclist’s condition is not currently available.
The pickup truck’s male driver and female passenger were unharmed. Southern California Edison (SCE) crews assisted by removing a damaged light fixture that had fallen onto the roadway due to the crash.
Southbound lanes on Apple Valley Road were closed at Sitting Bull Road while authorities cleared the scene. The Apple Valley Police Department is investigating the cause of the accident.
