[10-24-2025] Petaluma Man Arrested After DUI Crash on South McDowell BoulevardA local man suspected of driving under the influence and crashing into several parked vehicles in Petaluma on Friday night, October 24, 2025, has been arrested.

According to the Petaluma Police Department, dispatchers received multiple 911 calls at 11:30 p.m. regarding a crash at South McDowell Boulevard and Caulfield Lane. 

Officers and Petaluma Fire Department personnel responded within minutes and found a heavily damaged vehicle that had struck four unoccupied parked vehicles along the roadway.

The driver, identified as 22-year-old Rodrigo R. of Petaluma, appeared intoxicated, a condition later confirmed through evidence gathered at the scene and a field sobriety test.

Rodrigo and his passenger, who sustained minor to moderate injuries, were initially treated by emergency personnel and transported to area hospitals.

After being medically cleared, Rodrigo was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI causing injury and booked into Sonoma County Jail.

The passenger, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, remains in stable condition. No further details were immediately available.
