A hit-and-run collision left a 55-year-old man dead in Elk Grove on Monday night, October 28, 2024.
According to the Elk Grove police, the crash occurred shortly after 10:00 p.m. near the intersection of West Stockton Boulevard and Whitelock Parkway.
Authorities stated that the pedestrian was struck while walking along W. Stockton Boulevard. The driver reportedly fled the scene but was followed by a witness, eventually pulling over nearby.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, although his identity has not been released.
