A 32-year-old woman died from injuries sustained in a crash involving a vehicle in south Sacramento on Saturday evening, November 9, 2024.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene on 65th Street, north of Florin Road, around 6:50 p.m., where they found the woman with major injuries. She was taken to an area hospital, where she died on Sunday around noon.
According to CHP, a 41-year-old driver was traveling southbound on 65th Street when the woman, attempting to cross the street on her bicycle, turned into the car’s path. The driver tried to brake but was unable to avoid the collision.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, and the identity of the bicyclist has not yet been released by the coroner’s office.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
