One construction worker was killed, and another was injured in an accident at Villa Park High School on Thursday morning, November 14, 2024.
According to authorities, the accident occurred around 10:30 a.m. when bleachers in a gymnasium at the school, located at 18042 Taft Ave., collapsed during renovations.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other man sustained injuries.
The cause of the collapse is under investigation.
