[11-20-2024] Two Killed After Multi-Vehicle Crash on Tehachapi Willow Springs RoadTwo individuals were killed after a multi-vehicle collision in the Tehachapi area on Wednesday morning, November 20, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 7:25 a.m. on Tehachapi Willow Springs Road, north of Oak Creek Road. CHP Mojave area officers responded to the scene and discovered that four vehicles were involved.

Initial investigations revealed that a 27-year-old man from Delano was driving a Ford F-550 pick-up truck southbound on Tehachapi Willow Springs Road. At the same time, a GMC 3500 pick-up truck driven by a 51-year-old man from Lancaster, a Honda CRV occupied by an unidentified 38-year-old man from Lancaster and his passenger, and a Chevy 2500 pick-up truck driven by a 59-year-old man from Palmdale were all traveling northbound on the same road.

The Ford F-550 collided with the GMC 3500, leading to subsequent crashes involving the Honda CRV and the Chevy 2500. The driver of the Honda CRV and their passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities are pending notification of their families and will be released by the Kern County Coroner’s Office.

The CHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
