[11-24-2024] Two Toddlers Killed, Father Injured in DUI Crash at Walnut and Riverside Drives in RialtoTwo toddlers, ages 3 and 4, were killed in a three-vehicle crash caused by an allegedly intoxicated driver who ran a red light in Rialto late Sunday night, November 24, 2024.

The collision occurred just after 11:00 p.m. at the intersection of Walnut and Riverside drives, according to Sgt. Daniel Smith of the Rialto Police Department.

A white Honda Accord carrying the two girls and their parents was making a left turn onto Walnut when a blue Dodge Ram pickup, traveling south on Riverside, ran a red light and broadsided the Accord. The impact sent the Accord into a black tow truck.

One of the toddlers was ejected from the vehicle, and both were pronounced dead at the scene. Their father sustained moderate injuries and was hospitalized, reportedly undergoing surgery. The girls’ mother was uninjured, and the driver of the tow truck was not hurt.

The girls, identified as Neveah and Alenia F. by their step-grandmother Lisa A., were in car seats at the time of the crash.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, 28-year-old Alexis G. of Buellton, fled the scene but was located about a quarter mile away and taken to the hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.

Authorities confirmed that the driver will be arrested on charges of two counts of murder, DUI, and felony hit-and-run upon his release from the hospital.

A passenger in the suspect’s pickup has not been confirmed to face charges. The incident remains under investigation.

They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
