A woman was killed after her pickup truck collided with a farm tractor near 70th Avenue and Wheeler Street in Mecca, Riverside County, on Monday morning, November 24, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 6:00 a.m. when a pickup truck struck the rear of a tractor hauling a flatbed trailer.
Officers said the driver of the pickup, a 58-year-old Mecca woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Riverside County Coroner later identified her as Maria D. The tractor driver reported no injuries.
Authorities stated they do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision. The investigation remains ongoing, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Officer R. Perez at the California Highway Patrol.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
