A 66-year-old Oxnard man was struck and killed by a truck while standing in the roadway at Victoria Avenue and Curlew Way in Oxnard on Tuesday evening, November 25, 2025.
According to the Oxnard Police Department, officers responded around 6:11 p.m. after a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a Ford F-150.
Investigators said a 41-year-old Oxnard man was driving the Ford F-150 southbound on Victoria Avenue when he hit the pedestrian, who had apparently been standing in the road. The driver called the police to report the crash and remained at the scene.
Bystanders attempted life-saving measures before police and paramedics arrived. The pedestrian suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Oxnard police said that, while the investigation is ongoing, neither speed nor impairment by alcohol or drugs appeared to be contributing factors.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
