A 21-year-old man was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 190 near Poplar in Tulare County on Thursday night, November 27, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office notified officers that deputies were at a hospital with the injured man. Investigators determined that the man had walked away from a home between 10:00 and 10:30 p.m. amid low visibility from fog.
For reasons still unknown, he entered the eastbound lane of State Route 190 from the south shoulder, just west of Road 200. He was struck by a 2020 Dodge Charger driven by a 23-year-old woman.
CHP said the driver immediately transported the man to a hospital with serious injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
