A motorcyclist died after a crash involving multiple vehicles on the eastbound I-580 in Alameda County on Thursday afternoon, December 4, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported around 4:23 p.m. A man riding a motorcycle eastbound on I-580, east of Eden Canyon Road, was involved in a collision with another vehicle.
CHP said the rider fell into the left lane, where he was struck by a truck traveling in the same lane. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
