A skateboarder was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle near Highway 111 and La Quinta Drive in La Quinta on Friday evening, December 5, 2025.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded around 6 p.m. and found a collision involving a vehicle and a person riding a skateboard.
The skateboarder was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The driver remained at the scene, and no arrests were made.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
