A 79-year-old woman from San Mateo was killed after a head-on collision on Highway 152 in Gilroy on Monday afternoon, December 9, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 3:15 p.m. west of Highway 156.
Investigators determined that the elderly woman, driving a 2010 Lexus, crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a 2023 Kenworth driven by a San Jose resident.
Authorities confirmed that drugs or alcohol were not suspected as factors in the collision.
