Three people were bitten by a dog on Camino de Traviesa in the Carmel Valley area in Monterey County on Friday, December 12, 2025.
According to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, the victims were not transported to a hospital following the incident. It was not known whether they sought medical treatment on their own.
Monterey County Animal Control took possession of the dog, which was described as a Labrador mix. Officials said the dog’s owner was present at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The sheriff’s office stated that a report was forwarded to the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office for possible charges related to failing to control the dog. It was not immediately known whether charges would be filed.
The incident remains under review.
