One woman was killed, and a toddler suffered major injuries following a two-vehicle crash at Walnut and Jefferson Avenues in Easton, Fresno County, on Wednesday morning, December 17, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred when two vehicles entered the intersection at the same time.
Investigators said a Honda Civic traveling north on Walnut Avenue approached a stop sign but, for reasons not yet known, failed to stop and entered the intersection, where it was struck by a Chevy Tahoe that did not have a stop sign.
The Honda Civic was occupied by an adult female driver and a 4-year-old girl, while the Chevy Tahoe carried one adult male and two teenage boys.
CHP said the female driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene. The toddler was transported to a hospital with major injuries, and officers stated the child was not in a child restraint seat and was believed to have been ejected. The adult male and two teenage boys in the Tahoe were wearing seatbelts and sustained minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
