A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the 5500 block of Mission Street in the Outer Mission neighborhood of San Francisco on Wednesday evening, December 17, 2025.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, officers responded just after 6:00 p.m. to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian. When officers arrived, they found the pedestrian injured in the roadway. Despite lifesaving efforts, the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the driver involved fled the scene in the vehicle before officers arrived. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
The crash remains under investigation.
