A man in his seventies sustained critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Santa Barbara Street and Davis Street in Santa Paula on Tuesday afternoon, December 31, 2024.
According to the Santa Paula Police Department, the collision occurred around 3:05 p.m. when a vehicle traveling westbound on Santa Barbara Street approached the intersection and struck the pedestrian, who was entering from the northbound side.
The driver, a Santa Paula woman, remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Authorities noted that she did not have a valid driver’s license at the time of the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
