[01-20-2026] Sacramento County, CA – Three Big Rigs Involved in Crash on Highway 50 Connector to Northbound I-5

The eastbound Highway 50 connector to northbound Interstate 5 in Sacramento County was shut down after a crash involving three tractor-trailers on Tuesday morning, January 20, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported just after 8:20 a.m. on the transition ramp, where all three semi-trucks were involved. 

CHP dispatch logs indicated that one truck jackknifed and blocked the ramp, while another appeared wedged against a guardrail. Authorities said no injuries were reported.

A SigAlert was issued shortly after 8:40 a.m., and officials said there was no estimated time for the ramp to reopen.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
