A 29-year-old man was killed following a two-vehicle collision in Cathedral City late Thursday night, January 29, 2026.
According to the Cathedral City Police Department, the crash occurred shortly after 9:30 p.m. in the 35000 block of Cathedral Canyon Drive.
Investigators stated that a vehicle traveling northbound was struck from behind by another car traveling at a high rate of speed, causing the first vehicle to overturn.
Police identified the deceased as Bryan V. of Cathedral City. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said Bryan V. was found at fault in the collision.
Two occupants in the second vehicle were not injured.
The Cathedral City Police Department said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
