A man died after being struck by a vehicle while fixing a flat tire in Elk Grove on Tuesday evening, February 3, 2026.

According to the Elk Grove Police Department, the crash occurred on Bruceville Road between Bilby Road and Boa Nova Drive. 

Officers reported that the victim, a 61-year-old man, was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Police described the suspect vehicle as a Dodge pickup truck that likely sustained damage to the front passenger side. No additional details about the driver were released.
