A 40-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a westbound vehicle on State Route 78 in Escondido on Friday night, February 6, 2026.
The California Medical Examiner reported that Jordan B. was hit near Birch Avenue around 10:00 p.m.
An ambulance crew transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
The incident remains under investigation.
