One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a big rig on the Escondido (215) Freeway in Riverside on Friday morning, February 27, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at around 5:15 a.m. on the southbound side of the freeway, south of Martin Luther King Boulevard.
Two right lanes were closed, and a SigAlert was issued, causing traffic to back up to the Riverside (60) Freeway.
The crash remains under investigation.
