[03-10-2026] Amador County, CA – Two Injured in Traffic Accident at SR-16 and Latrobe Rd.

Two people were injured in a traffic accident at the intersection of California State Route 16 and Latrobe Road in Amador County on Tuesday afternoon, March 10, 2026.

Crews with the Amador Fire Protection District responded to the crash and found two patients at the scene.

According to AFPD, one individual sustained critical injuries and was airlifted by air ambulance for further treatment. The second patient was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital for care.

The California Highway Patrol and American Legion Ambulance assisted Amador Fire crews at the scene.

Additional details about the crash and the patients’ conditions were not immediately available. The investigation is ongoing.
