[03-14-2026] Sacramento County, CA – One Dead, Another Seriously Injured in Solo Crash in Galt

One man was killed, and another was seriously injured in a solo vehicle crash on State Route 99 in Galt early Saturday morning, March 14, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to a call at around 2:44 a.m. on Pringle Avenue, where a black Honda Civic had struck a guardrail. 

CHP officials said the driver veered off the roadway for unknown reasons, moved up the embankment, struck the guardrail, and overturned.

The male passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver sustained major injuries and was transported to the hospital.

CHP confirmed that alcohol was a factor in the crash, and the investigation is ongoing.
