[03-14-2026] Kings County, CA – Woman Killed, Several Others Injured in Crash Involving UTV and Toyota Outside of Hanford

A woman was killed, and several others were injured in a crash involving a UTV and a Toyota Camry just outside of Hanford on Saturday evening, March 14, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. when a woman was driving a 2020 Polaris Ranger UTV east on Dover Avenue, just west of Highway 43, with five passengers. 

Behind her, a woman driving a 2019 Toyota Camry with two passengers attempted to pass the UTV. For unknown reasons, the Polaris turned left as the Toyota was passing, and the UTV’s left side collided with the Toyota’s front right.

The driver of the Polaris was ejected during the crash and later died from her injuries. Two passengers in the Polaris were also ejected, and they sustained injuries, with one being transported to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno and the other to Adventist Medical Center in Hanford. The five adult passengers in the Polaris sustained minor to moderate injuries.

The driver and passengers of the Toyota Camry suffered minor to moderate injuries and were treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel. 

CHP officials believe alcohol and/or drugs may have been factors in the crash. The identities of those involved have not yet been released, and the investigation is ongoing.
