[03-17-2026] Alameda County, CA – Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash in East Oakland

A 33-year-old man, identified as Ismael O., died after a two-vehicle collision in East Oakland on Tuesday morning, March 17, 2026.

According to Oakland Police, the crash occurred at about 2:13 a.m. at the intersection of 68th and Bancroft avenues. 

Authorities reported that Ismael O. was driving northbound on 68th Avenue when his Honda sedan collided with a Cadillac CTS traveling eastbound on Bancroft Avenue.

Ismael O. was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Cadillac and his passenger were not injured and remained at the scene.

Police have not yet determined if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The incident remains under investigation.
