A 57-year-old man was injured in a hit-and-run crash while riding an electric bike in Oroville on Tuesday night, March 17, 2026.
According to the Oroville Police Department, officers responded to the area of Myers Street and Jefferson Street at around 8:43 p.m.
Upon arrival, they found the man on the side of the roadway suffering from moderate injuries, including chest pain and injuries to his hands. He was transported to an out-of-area hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
Police say the victim was traveling northbound on Myers Street when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. A description of the suspect vehicle, a silver pickup truck with possible damage to the right passenger side, was obtained, but authorities were unable to locate it.
The case remains under active investigation, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Oroville Police Department.
