A passenger was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Fresno County on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to the incident at around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Central Avenue and De Wolf.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a Ford F-250 was traveling eastbound on Central Avenue when it attempted to make a left turn directly in front of a westbound Toyota Camry.
The passenger in the Camry sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the crash, the Camry driver fled into a nearby orchard but was quickly apprehended by officers. The driver is being investigated for felony evading and DUI.
