A car collision on southbound Highway 101 in Santa Barbara County is causing a traffic backup on Monday morning, March 23, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Honda sedan collided with a silver Volvo sedan, causing the Honda to end up in a ditch off the roadway. Both drivers were uninjured and remained at the scene, cooperating with authorities.
Officers also responded to a second collision between a green Toyota Venza and another vehicle, the details of which are still unclear. One person involved in this crash is currently being medically evaluated.
The investigation into both collisions is ongoing, and traffic delays are expected.
