At least one person was injured in a crash on the San Diego (405) Freeway in Irvine on Wednesday afternoon, April 1, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at 12:49 p.m. on the southbound side of the freeway near Jeffrey Road.
The crash involved a large van towing a vehicle and a small Audi. The exact status of the injured person was not immediately known.
Commuters were urged to avoid the area or take alternate routes as authorities responded to the scene.
