A 41-year-old woman was killed after a pedestrian vs. vehicle collision in Moss Landing, Monterey County, late Sunday evening, April 14, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident occurred around 10:53 p.m. along Highway 1, south of Potrero Road.
A 42-year-old driver from Aptos was traveling south in a blue 2012 Hyundai when he hit a pedestrian with the front right of his car.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She was identified as a 41-year-old Castroville resident named Guadalupe C.
The unharmed Hyundai driver was not arrested. The authorities have not released further information about the collision.
