[04-19-2026] Tulare County, CA – One Killed, Two Injured in Crash on Highway 190 Near Porterville

One person was killed, and two others were seriously injured in a crash near Porterville on Sunday morning, April 19, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 5:30 a.m. at Highway 190 and Westwood Road. Investigators said the driver failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into construction concrete on the highway.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other occupants in the vehicle were transported to a hospital with major injuries.

Authorities are investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the collision. No further details were immediately available.
