A woman was killed, and a man was seriously injured following a multi-vehicle collision in south Sacramento early Sunday morning, April 7, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident occurred before 4:00 a.m. along Interstate 5 between Meadowview Road and Laguna Boulevard.
Reports indicate that one vehicle was found off the freeway in a field, while another was flipped and badly damaged on the roadway. There is no information about the third vehicle.
An unidentified woman was pronounced dead, while her male passenger suffered major injuries. It is currently unclear how many people were involved or if any others were injured.
The authorities are determining if DUI or speeding was involved. Further details have yet to be released.
