A motorcyclist was killed following a hit-and-run collision in south Sacramento on Monday evening, May 25, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Power Inn Road and Florin Road.
Authorities stated that a vehicle traveling southbound on Power Inn Road made an illegal U-turn onto eastbound Florin Road, turning directly into the path of a motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, a man whose identity has not been released, was unable to stop in time and collided with the passenger side of the vehicle. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
CHP reported that the suspected vehicle is a 2018 bright blue Nissan Maxima with damage to the passenger side and a deployed passenger-side airbag. The vehicle was last seen traveling southbound on Power Inn Road.
