A 15-year-old boy riding an eBike suffered a fractured femur after colliding with an SUV in San Diego’s Pacific Beach neighborhood on Sunday evening, May 24, 2026.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the collision was reported around 7:02 p.m. in the 2100 block of Pacific Beach Drive.
Authorities stated that the boy was traveling westbound on a Zooz eBike when a 17-year-old girl driving a 2022 Kia Niro attempted an illegal U-turn at Noyes Street. The boy struck the driver’s side of the SUV, resulting in a fractured right leg.
Officials said the injury was not life-threatening, and alcohol or drugs were not considered factors in the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
