One person was seriously injured following a five-vehicle collision on Highway 1 in Santa Cruz County on Saturday, June 6, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on northbound Highway 1, just south of Freedom Boulevard near Rio Del Mar.
Authorities reported that one occupant sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The CHP did not immediately release details about the other drivers or the cause of the crash.
