[04-19-2024] Kern County, CA – Two People Injured Following Motorcycle Vs. Vehicle Collision Near Weldon

Two people were injured following a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision near Weldon, Kern County, on Friday morning, April 19, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just before 10:30 a.m. along Highway 178, just east of El Rancho Poco.

The traffic crash involved a motorcycle with two riders on board and a vehicle. Both occupants of the motorcycle were hurt and received treatment at the scene. At least one of them has reportedly suffered major injuries.

Traffic lanes around the crash site were blocked as a precaution while CHP investigated the cause of the accident.
