[06-23-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – One Killed, Another Critically Injured in Head-On Crash in Barstow

A 19-year-old man was killed, and another driver was critically injured in a head-on collision that caused a vehicle fire in Barstow on Tuesday afternoon, June 23, 2026.

According to the Barstow Police Department, the crash occurred at around 1:53 p.m. in the 800 block of West Main Street.

A gray Infiniti sedan and a tan Honda sedan collided head-on, the cause of which is still under investigation, resulting in a fire involving the Infiniti.

Good Samaritans pulled the unconscious driver, later identified as 19-year-old Jesus A., from the burning vehicle before emergency responders arrived. He was transported to Barstow Community Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the Honda sedan was airlifted to a trauma hospital in critical condition.

Barstow Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
