A woman was killed after being struck by a semi-truck in Fairfield early Wednesday morning, April 24, 2024.
According to the Fairfield Police Department, the fatal incident occurred at about 5:15 a.m. in the 2100 block of Cadenasso Drive.
Reports indicate that a semi-truck was leaving a parking lot when it hit a woman for unknown reasons. The driver stayed on site and contacted 911.
The victim was declared dead at the scene. Her identity was not yet released, pending notification of the next of kin.
The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the fatal collision.
