[07-26-2026] Riverside County, CA – Three-Vehicle Crash Involving Tesla on I-215 in Perris

A three-vehicle collision involving a Tesla and two sport utility vehicles was reported in Perris on Sunday night, July 26, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at around 9:14 p.m. on the southbound Interstate 215 near the Ramona Expressway.

Initial reports indicated that a white Tesla spun out after colliding with a silver SUV, then struck the right-side concrete barrier. Witnesses later reported that three vehicles were involved in the collision.

Authorities said one witness reported the Tesla was traveling at a high rate of speed before the crash. Another caller reported seeing individuals outside the vehicles discarding alcoholic beverages over a retaining wall.

CHP upgraded the incident to a crash requiring ambulance response after receiving reports of possible injuries. The extent of the injuries has not been released.

All three vehicles were disabled and required towing from the scene. No arrests or additional details regarding those involved have been announced.

The investigation remains ongoing.
