One motorcyclist was killed, and another was critically injured in a two-motorcycle collision south of Orcutt in Santa Barbara County on Saturday afternoon, August 8, 2026.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, emergency crews responded around 3:28 p.m. to the area where the northbound Highway 135 on-ramp meets northbound Highway 1.
One motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The other rider sustained critical injuries and was transported by ground ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center for treatment. Authorities have not released identifying information about either motorcyclist.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
