A pedestrian was taken to a hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Santa Barbara early Saturday morning, August 8, 2026.
According to the Santa Barbara Police Department, the incident occurred shortly before 1 a.m. in the 600 block of Chapala Street.
Officers and paramedics responded to the scene and transported the pedestrian to Cottage Hospital for treatment.
Police located the driver and vehicle involved in the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
