A moped rider was killed following a motorcycle vs. big rig collision in Oakland on Tuesday morning, April 30, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 7:30 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 80 at the transition ramp to southbound Interstate 880.
Authorities stated that the rider, identified only as a male, collided with a big rig truck, causing him to be ejected onto the roadway.
Police said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Anyone with information about the accident is urged to contact the authorities.
